A Future You Fight (18.04.08)

Why don’t you
Stand up for a future
You don’t believe in?
The world turns against you,
And makes you pay
For all the sins of yourself
And the world

There’s a future
Waiting here for you;
It’s full of violence,
Pain and hate
They can’t take you for a fool,
So you try to run,
But there’s nowhere to run to,
They’ll find you one day,
They’ll make you pay,
And take you to your future

There’s a life
For you to live;
Friends, family and enemies
All waiting here;
Just for you
They’re missing you;
Wasting their lives
Hoping for you

People you know,
And people
Who know you
Are waiting for your return
To a doomed civilisation;
You can save them,
But you can’t save yourself;
Saving them
Will destroy you,
Don’t waste a day
Deciding what to do!

It’s a waste of breath
Fighting your future
Even if
You don’t
Believe in it
You are
Bound to it,
Just like
The fate of Israel
Is bound
To the fate of the world

Have no regrets;
There’s something else
Troubling me
Why don’t you
Believe me?
Don’t hold back
Make it before
Your time runs out

Always It Was War (12.04.08)

The clouds of war
Are gathering again
In the sky
Over my head,
The end of humanity
Is closing in again;
Always it was war;
Race against race,
White against black,
Man against woman,
Arab against Jew,
Christian against Muslim,
Faith against faith,
Hatred over tolerance,
It’s a vicious
And unbroken cycle
Of escalating violence
It’s in man’s power
To break it,
But he chooses not to

Why can’t we just talk?
It seems like
We are stonewalled
To not help each other
Or other countries,
We only help ourselves
The only exceptions
Are if they have oil;
Iraq and Afghanistan
Are good examples
Of this

This cycle of
Escalating violence
Shows no sings
Of stopping
Any time soon
With trouble in Zimbabwe,
Human rights abuses in China,
Nuclear weapons in North Korea,
Financial and military trouble in America
There’s only one way
To solve this;
And that’s for the UN
To be cut free of all political ties

Some are trying
To break the cycle;
Jimmy Carter, Israel, and Hamas,
Dalai Lama, South Korea, and Fatah
Are all trying
To achieve peace
With their enemies,
But the odds
Are stacked against them,
The grains of time
Are ticking slowly away!

As I Lie (23.04.08)

As I lie
In my bed,
I can’t help
To think about you
What were you
Doing with another man
In your arms?

You became the rain
That makes a river
Break its banks and
Flood the town

I admit though,
I was not
Perfect either,
If you remember last week,
I came home late,
You asked where I’d been
And I said a mate’s,
But I really was out gambling

As I lie
To you still
I can’t tell
You the truth
As you’d be
Shattered by
The web of lies
That entangles you

It’s all around;
Everywhere you can
And where you can’t see
They’re still being spun
Everyday,
Watch your step,
Or you’ll be trapped

Caladonia (11.04.08)

He was made from men,
And born to women
He was to save us all; Caladonia
He came, he saw and he conquered,
But what was the price of victory?

He never lost
Until he came across
The Red Sea
In search of fame;
There he suffered,
Broken but not dead

His body was shattered,
But his mind was not
Pray for him and yourselves
He suffered to only suffer
Again when you died

He was driven by hope before that;
There is something driving him still,
But now he was
Drowning his sorrows with alcohol;
He was sitting next to me
Downing shots of tequila

The greatest man that ever lived
Was killing his grief,
But the pain was still there
We pray for you, Caladonia
It’s a shame to see him in that way
He may still be cool,
But in people’s eyes
You could see that they think you are a fool
Was your pain
So great
That you had
To end your life?

Chaos Soldiers (12.04.08)

We are both
Soldiers in a different war,
But today
We fight
For the same cause

We are ordered
To fight
An enemy
That we don’t even know
But killing is our job,
And we are damned good at it

The Chaos Soldiers;
Matt and Megan
Are good together
As a pair

They turn
The world
On its head;
Flipped
Like a coin
To reveal
The world’s
Other side

Chaos Soldiers
Destroying
The world order
To make everyone equal
And make sure
No-one is less equal

War made peace,
Hate made love,
Racism made equality,
And opposition made unity

People united
For a common cause
To fight
Against a
Conformity
That’s tearing
Us apart

Heartbroken (17.04.08)

There was this girl
Who I loved,
Her name is Brielle;
She worked at Coles
In Baldivis for a time,
She left just the other day
Without saying goodbye

She left me alone,
Now I’m heartbroken,
The pain is just too real
And it all seems surreal
Without her

I may not be the most handsome guy in the world,
But I’m charming,
I’m funny;
My dark sense of humour is revered
I’m smart;
My wit something of legend
I’m friendly;
I’m one of the nicest guys people know

From I’ve heard;
She now works at subway.
No idea which one,
But at least I know where she’s gone

I’m gonna find her one day soon;
I’ll sweep her off her feet;
Take her dancing with the stars
Until then
I’m still heartbroken

Murder (25.04.08)

You can see it in your eyes,
You can feel it in your heart,
You can’t deny it,
‘Cause it’s a primeval instinct,
Just do what you can to avoid it

The body counts rising;
There’s no way to stop it,
People dying everywhere
A mammoth task to fight it,
But a simple task to avoid it,
Just don’t get involved

Death toll climbing;
People shot,
Stabbed all over the place,
The blood is on our hands,
And it stains

I know its wrong,
But it looks like fun,
I need to quench a thirst
Nothing can quench
Except for blood
Murder is a crime,
But people can’t help it,
It’s wired into their mindsets
From day one
‘Till their last day

Not saying murder
Is right
Is wrong,
As we have willingly murdered
Others for our goal
And for our own selfish needs,
Yet it’s justified,
‘Cause it’s in our blood
